Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis 6m
Gibbons says he's still hopeful Morrow can start Sunday but they are covering their bases by looking at other possible options. #bluejays

The spasms started in Morrow's back and worked there way up to his neck. Vargas and Bush are possible fill ins. #bluejays

I'm curious as to why Brett Cecil's name isn't being thrown around as an option for spot starter. I understand they want to keep a strong bullpen, but with Johnson and Happ out, Dickey and Morrow not 100%, Romero being Romero...Mark Buerhle is our only healthy starter. I don't care how good the bullpen is...t doesn't matter as long as Buerhle and an ailing Dickey are our best options.

I don't have a good feeling about this series. The Jays will start the inferior pitcher in every game. Hope the bats come alive, they'll need them.

Me either. Pitching has been tremendously bad for the Jays this season and their batting, though coming around, is still very mediocre, especially with RISP.
Red Sox have better everything... hitting, catching, pitching, defense.

One crazy looking batting order today.
The Jays need should accuse Bucholz of cheating after the 1st pitch.

Lovely. Kawasaki can't make a routine play and now it's tied up.

Crazy! Not at all what I was expecting. Happy to see the jays won a series. Decent pitching and decent hitting equals wins go figure.

And we mark this day may 12 as the first series win of the year. Don't worry it's still early
