Why does anyone ever need a gun?

If hunting is the answer, there's nothing remotely attractive about taking innocent lives for sport.

Noone needs a gun. They cause more problems than they solve, and that will always be the case.

Japan is a great example of what happens when you don't have guns in society. I believe in a population of 120M, they had 2 gun deaths last year.

As I said in the other thread, I don't think an armed German populace stops Hitler from taking power. They pretty much welcomed him with open arms. More likely it just gives Germans a chance to shoot Jewish descendants themselves.

As well, Germany wasn't that close to taking over the world in reality. They did a good job in Europe and that's about it.

You realize there are other reasons than that right?
There is nothing remotely attractive about criticizing people for shooting thier own dinner when you've got a roast waiting for you at home for dinner.

I really wish that a mod would make a whole separate SECTION for Gun Talk. IE: we have a Tech Talk, Food and Entertainment, and the Off the Topic Forums, and it would be great to come here, to the OTF, and not see so many thread devoted to, or derailed to guns.
