Was wondering the same thing. Haven't seen any recent articles either.

The games that I have caught snippets of he has been a big factor, always around the puck, lots of shots.
Admittedly this was right after the trade though, so things may have settled a bit.

He's been looking like a peripheral player trying to fit in. I'd say Morrow has had more impact.

You haven't heard or seen anything because he hasn't done much. Not to say he won't in the future I think they are counting on him in the playoffs to really step up.
he has to shoot the puck more that is his strength these days

7 Games, 1 goal, three assists. Certainly not lighting it up stats wise.
Anybody watching him have some insight?

Iggy doesn't need to light it up. That was his job here in Calgary. He was the focal point of the offense and as he went, the team went.
In Pittsburgh he doesn't have to carry the team on his back. He's not the main focal point of the offense. The team doesn't go as he goes. From what I've seen, he plays hard, plays physical, and he gets his chances. We all know Iggy, once a couple go in he can easily become the hottest scorer in the league. He's also 35 so I don't expect him to become a ppg player even with Malkin or Crosby.
However in the playoffs, I think he will kick it into high gear. He'll be flanking Crosby's wing and he will be hungry for playoff success. I think that will be the final measurement of how he is doing.

Of the 6 games that I've watched, there was only one where he was a complete non-factor. His line was starting to look dominant, but then Neal went out with a concussion (missed 3 games and counting) and Malkin went out with a sunburn, so their chemistry hasn't had a chance to continue developing. He's looked very dangerous on the power play, and had a nice one-timer on Thursday that originally was counted as his goal before realizing that Kunitz got a piece of it.
I was at the Pens game in Florida on Saturday, and all the Pens fans that I talked to had been very satisfied with his play so far.

I'm cheering for him, I really I am. I want to see him win the Cup.
But... our team is showing signs of being an exciting team without him. Our kids look collectively good, and that's without our high 2013 first round pick, Gaudreau, Jankowski and Wotherspoon yet.
I'm already starting to forget that Iginla was on this team. That's a good thing.

I know we're rebuilding, but how J. Jokinen made it to through to Pittsburgh on waivers is beyond me.

He made through everybody on waivers, and then they traded for him.

I've watched all of the Pittsburgh games since the Iggy trade. It seems that on the rush, Iginla has trouble keeping up with the play unless he is in a good position to shoot. Down low and on the boards, he still wins most of the battles and goes hard to the net. He fits very nicely on the powerplay too.
As people have mentioned, Pittsburgh is so incredibly deep that they don't even need Jarome to score to be successful. Last game, they had no Neal, Crosby, or Malkin and they still had the depth to put out 4 competent offensive lines.

His mere presence is causing centers to drop like flies. Crosby, check. Malkin, check. Heads up, Sutter
Iggy has been quite dangerous in the few early games. When on the ice, his line has been driving the play more often than not. (Advanced stats support this too.)
His goal was good, driving the net. One of his assists was in a game winner with Malkin, nice passes, a shot where the goalie gave up a rebound that Malkin knocked in. Another assist was on a game winner, really good contribution to solid PP unit and his one timer got tipped. His D game has been decent too.
I don't see him as having trouble keeping up, more adjusting and finding chemistry. But contributing to meaningful goals

I still can't wait to see Iggy and Crosby on the same line together, just terrible timing on that injury.

It seems Jagr is doing more for BOS.
1 goal, six assists in six games.

I've only watched 3 full games and a couple of minutes here and there. What i have seen is him battling low on the boards and playing harder than he has in a couple of years in his own zone.
I was not sure if he had really lost velocity on his shot when in Calgary, but watching his shot in Pitt confirms it.
