Round 2: Detroit vs LA
Going into the playoffs Detroit looked a bit different from the team that was there when I originally took over the team, but in the 1st round it appears that the new additions did not hurt as 7 of the top 9 in team scoring for the playoffs were new additions brought in since I took over the team.
Gaborik leads the team with 9 points (6G, 3A), then Koivu is second with 8 (2G,6A). Grabovksi and Ennis are tied with 6, O. Jokinen, Edler, and Ryan all have 4 points. Halak has been strong in the playoffs so far sporting a 0.926 sv% and a 2.26 GAA.
Injuries
Pronger returned in the last game of the series against the Avs and contributed with 1 assist in 16 minutes of ice time. Kuba has gone off IR and will be playing his first game of the playoffs in game 1 vs the kings.
J. Jokinen, 2 points in 5 games, got injured in game 5 and is DD and a game or two away from returning to the line up.
Season Series
Detroit is going to have to change their luck against the Kings as Detroit didn't do well (understatement) against the Kings during the season losing all 4 games and being drastically out scored 8 goals to 18 against.
