Default LF: Senior Electrical Planner - High Voltage (Fort McMurray)

JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Planner is accountable for detailed maintenance planning, scheduling, cost estimating and control functions to maximize electrical availability, while achieving budgeted targets, in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. They must also supply planning support for projects and major maintenance events in the respective area.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Maximize resource productivity by identifying parts, materials, special tools, external services, rentals and documentation
  • Preparation of job plans ready for scheduling detailing parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation with planned costs
  • Identification of safety, Environmental Health & Safety, permit and communication requirements
  • Preparation of job plans to include the sequencing of associated tasks, talking into account multi-craft alignment
  • Maintain and continuously improve job plans
  • Maintain bills of materials
  • Provide coaching and training to department staff on maintenance processes
  • Report and provide recommendation on the key performance indicators (KPI's)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
  • Must have grade 12 or GED
  • Minimum of a technology diploma or trade certification in an electrical discipline
  • Dynamic individual with at least 2 years maintenance planning experience
  • Sound knowledge and experience with SAP or material management systems is an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Detailed and thorough knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
  • High voltage experience would be an asset
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance practices, measures, planning & scheduling
  • Technical knowledge of high voltage equipment, control and protection systems is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products including Word, Project & Excel
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Leadership skills is an asset
  • Effective communicator with the ability to develop positive working relations with both internal and external customers
  • Self-starter who works well independently and on a team
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This is a dayshift position Monday to Friday
  • The position is located in Fort McMurray, Alberta and requires relocation
