Default Project Glass (formerly known as google goggles)

Have you guys seen the promotional video Google released today? Incredible tehnology that they're working on. It may never see the light of day or sell but the concept is very cool and forward looking.

When Google goggles is able to provide a universal translator function (translate signs and menus, etc. in other languages in front of my eyes) that will be one thing I won't hesitate to drop a huge chunk of money on.

They already have primitive similar apps out there but when I am able to travel in foreign countries and the thing can translate written language for me, that would be the killer app for me.

I assume this is some kind of late April Fools prank, as the man in the video appeared to post something to Google+

I was wondering about this too.

Having things pop up on your glasses while you're in the middle of rush hour could create problems.

Once Apple "invents" a similar product you guys will be all over it. I think this is pretty clearly the future, just need to get the hardware down to fit invisibly inside regular size glasses and contacts.

If this was an Apple idea and product, Fanin80 would have started it, and it would be 30+ pages by now.
