Hey guys,

I'll be moving to Calgary for the summer and I'm just beginning to look into a gym to start going to, so any advice would be great. I'll be living in the Northwest and looking for a gym where I can pay monthly. Preferable they would be open until 12 pm on week days as well. Thanks!

By pay monthly I assume you mean pay month to month rather than having to sign a contract. If that's the case, the only on I can think of is the UofC gym. I know a lot of people like to hate on that gym, but I always thought it was decent enough.

The YMCA I believe now only does monthly memberships. There's one in the Crowfoot area if I remember.

Not sure where in the NorthWest you are, but Cardel Place does month-to-month paying. I go there and it's not too bad. Gets quite busy though after 4. Not the biggest gym though.

Most gyms are open past noon.

Depends how far in the NW you are, checkout Talisman Centre just SW of downtown.
