From a feminine perspective, I'd have to say confidence. An ugly, stupid guy is probably not going to have much confidence, and humour may get you through the date, but it may not get you to the next one.

Honestly, if a chick is stupid as a post, (though I may want to nail her) I can't date her. If a chick is so ugly that I had no sexual desire for her, why date her?

well, if the looks arent there, then probably there is no date to begin with (who are we kidding, if you're not attracted to somebody physicialy, why bother?)

so on a date, id have to say sense of humor and an overall GOOD HEART matters to me the most. I can't stand the following in a girl:

-whining
-bitching/catiness
-materialism

Have anyone of those 3, and it's pretty much doomed.

I'd say that chemistry matters most. If there's no chemistry between the two people, it won't matter what else is there.

Chemistry involves so many other things too though.. matching desires for intelligence levels, humor styles, attitudes, etc.

I agree that chemisty is most important, otherwise what's the point? If there is chemistry, everything else will fall into place....

Something I'd like to point out. I'm not sure if everyone agree's with this or not but,

I like when you can go out and just have fun, and not have sex brought up. Yes sex is all great and everything but it shouldn't be the only thing.

sense of humour is big for me, if you can make me relax and have fun, smile and laugh you've got a MAJOR head start.

Intelligence is another key factor. They say you should find someone you can talk to, as when you get old converstational skills mean the most. I guess that's why I generally fall for girls I've known for a bit first (which generally lands you in the dreaded "friend zone").
