Exclamation Where to donate furniture?

Any ideas where to donate a couch / love seat / chair set?
I've called a few places, but they wouldn't accept them.

Thanks

You can take almost anything to the Drop In Centre. Only thing is that they do not collect, you will have to take it there. Call them first though.

Yeah, when I moved 3 years ago, I had an old couch and a washer and dryer, plus some other smaller furniture. I called a few places and some would take one thing or another, but the Drop-In Centre was the only one who would take everything.

If you are looking to get rid of it, just put it up on Kijiji for pick up. It will be gone that day. No matter the condition it seems.

I always take my old stuff to the Value Village up on 32nd in the NE, as they seem to have fewer restrictions than any other place I've tried. Never tried the drop-in centre though, that sounds like a good option too.

I'll give another vote to the Drop In Centre warehouse. They don't just help the homeless, they provide furniture, dishes, appliances, computers, etc. to people who are "working poor". I've brought them tons of stuff, they accept pretty much anything that is in reasonable condition.

Put it on your lawn with a sign that says free couch. Put it on kijiji with your address saying first person gets it. Take add of hour later or leave it on to watch people drive buy looking for a free couch
