Great value for Kunitz imo, I think that they hit a home run here.

After watching a lot of Pens game with Iggy there he really stood out to me.

Good contract, only 33 so he should have a couple good years left in him to play alongside Crosby.

The same as before. Kunitz was already under contract for next year. This was an extension.

Hope he buys Sid something real nice. Not that he isn't a good player in his own right, but playing on a line with Sid definitely helps to pad the stats.

At first I thought the Pens made out like bandits, then I realized that Kunitz still has one year remaining on his current deal so this new contract doesn't kick in until he's 34-35. By age 36-37 I'd be surprised if he can score half as many points as he does now so this contract could turn out badly for the Pens.
