They should try to package him up in a deal to acquire a young #2/#3 center, it's what they really need right now.

This is more of a conditioning stint (he's played 1 game in the last 2 weeks due to injury) and it'll keep him eligible for the AHL playoffs if the Wolves are still playing when the Canucks are done assuming they keep him down until Wednesday.

Gillis should be an AGM. Great at negotiating contracts, horrible at making hockey decisions.

He has the tools but needs some time, not unlike a lot of power forwards.

Horrible trade for Vancouver. I'll take it.

The jury is still out on this kid this could be a terrible trade for Vancouver or they can come out big winners if this kids reaches potential. To much inconsistency with zack he will have a great game then have 5-10 average games. Cody could be their answer to the Center depth they don't have, time will tell.

This trade never made sense to me when they first did it and now with there lack of center depth it really makes me shake my head.

Had an idea!

Maybe they shouldn't have thrown Hodgson under the bus when he got injured.

You mean the guy who was centering John Scott and Patrick Kaleta on the 4th line?
The same guy where his coach said he needs to be better on the defensive side of the puck?

The same guy who's been putting up some solid number 28 point that would be 3rd on the canucks in scoring only 1 point behind Daniel. Don't try and say this trade was not a bad thing for Vancouver.

I didn't like the trade, but Canucks were given no choice, but to trade Hodgson.

The Canucks have been given no choice but to trade Luongo, but they still haven't.

Kassian has a long ways to go to becoming a full-fledged NHLer. Most power forwards don't hit their stride until their mid- to late-20's so he still has a few years to go. He could very well end up a bust but that's to be determined later.
