Default Local rappers keepin it real... real dumb!

Wow, pretty hilarious.

I am not one to comment on whether this is a big seizure (my initial guess is no), but the level of stupidity shown by these guys is amazing either way. Acting thug life in publicly accessible rap video is one thing, but better not give away your location in the first few seconds.

edit- the one article says the video has been removed from youtube, but it looks like it is up on a different account. I won't embed though.

Its a little harsh to call them stupid.
This is a culture. The Rap culture. Calling their culture stupid compared to lets say, other cultures is narrow minded.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_relativism

We as a society need to celebrate the different cultures that exist.

However, I do agree that guns are dangerous.

They should have printed out pictures of guns and held up and danced with photos rather than holding airsoft guns which look like real guns.

The guys got caught breaking the law in part because they uploaded a video on youtube. That's stupidity, not culture.

This is bizarre.

Grown adults playing dress up, filming themselves posing as rap/gang superhero's waving around plastic guns and then uploading it on the internet. I could see some teenagers filming this rip-off poser stuff and putting it online but grown arss 30 year old men in Calgary of all places?

To quote Boomer, "CLEAN IT UP".

LOL.....real ballers.

Base Model V6 Chrysler 300.... missing a license plate bolt. Buyable at your local auto auction for $2500.

Decade old Dell desktop with a 4:3 aspect monitor, missing the cable management cover.

$50 dollar oversized Amazon fashion watches.

I lost it at the use of a glad kitchen catcher as a hostage hood.

These guys are a joke. And their culture is stupid. Anyone who thinks drug dealing and murdering is a cool image.... is beyond stupid.

The real crime here? They had $8000, but couldn't be bothered pay their internet producer the $25-100 leasing rights fee to remove the vocal tag at the start of the track.

I would say its both. Watch the documentaries on the Logan heights gang in San Diego and The Top 6 Gang in Palm Beach. The culture of rap and its street influence play hand in hand. Its a stupid action to record that led to their arrest but in the culture it boosts your reputation and adds to the groups rep among the culture. . Its a difficult situation to handle.

You can buy an airsoft gun at frickin' Walmart and it does not require a firearms certificate. So how can the cops confiscate it and charge you with 'weapons' offenses for having one in your possession?

From the still shots it appears it does not possess a orange tip is not translucent in colour. Canadian law is a airsoft gun must have a safety orange tip and must be either completely clear or semi translucent in colour . You must not be used in a way to give the appearance or used in an act that portrays it as an actual firearm. If you paint it or remove the orange safety tip you can be arrested on weapon possession charges.

Really? Cause my friend recently purchased a airsoft gun from Canadian tire, and it looks very similar to a real glock. No orange tips or coloring to indicate that it's a toy.
