What is the point of announcing this? Must make the rest of the guys in the locker room feel great about themselves.

I'm really starting to think that Jay Feaster is a terrible GM and needs to be canned. How would this team look if his attempted deals went through? Richards? O'Reilly? Ryan Smyth? Please fire Feaster and hire Burke.

When you miss the playoffs X amount of years in a row, are currently in 28th place in the standings, and two biggest assets are traded, why would you be mad if you aren't mentioned as an "untouchable."

Is it really a shock to any of the other guys though?
Maybe Backlund, but this has been a "prove yourself" season, which he spent most of injured, so I think he has a pass anyway.
Nobody on this roster that wasn't mentioned should be too shocked that they were considered available for discussion by the Flames.

I am fine with those names, but if those mother####ers try to revive the "Young Guns" marketing I will walk down and kick Feaster in the balls.

Perhaps Tanguay & Cammalleri replaced by Baertschi & Horak in the Flames top nine wingers next season, joining Cervenka, Hudler, Glencross & Stempniak.

If guys in the Flames locker room consider themselves "untouchable" with the way they have all been playing, then they deserve to feel bad

I didn't like when Feaster said he didn't even listen to what other teams were offering for Glencross. When you look at what BUF got for Pominville (2 top prospects, a 1st, and a 2nd) I don't know how you don't at least listen to offers. To me that is lazy and not doing your job 110% if that's the case.

I kind of feel as though glencross is being overvalued a bit by this forum (and the flames). Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, and has a skill set and contract value that every team would like to have - but I still feel as though he's a 3rd line winger with inconsistencies playing in a 2nd line role.
That being said, if he were to be moved, he would leave a big hole (but this team is already holier than the pope).
In the end, keeping him doesn't hurt the team going forward - but I think if you could capitalize on his (perhaps overstated) value, then you do it - particularly when your team is in the position the flames are.

So now we are worried about player's feelings? But when Kipper wants to stay to be with his family, we bag on him for it? This place makes no sense.

I think once Feaster talked about looking to build around guys who have not yet peaked, that was a clear way of saying that Cammalleri and Tanguay would be outside of the untouchable group.
What is also not directly stated, but inferred by this list, is that Hudler and Wideman may be candidates to move in the right deal
