Flames fall 4-1 to Blues
Seriously? No PGT yet?
Sven's 7 game point streak is longest for a rookie this season according to Kerr.

At least Baertschi is consistent, 3 goal last season and 3 this season.

Enjoyed watching the game - just like watching the effort. They arent mailing it in. We need a #1 defenseman for sure

Bad game for pretty much every defencemen except Cundari. Butler was extra awful.

Not much positive to take from this one. I suspect this will be how a lot of games will play out over the next few seasons.

Blows me away that people think this team doesn't desperately need a top 3-4 pick with a game breaking potential and say that picking 7-8 or 9 is no big deal.

The false hope run of wins over the last 10 has likely set the team back if they don't luck out in the draft lottery.

blows me away that people think this was our team playing tonight - a bunch of young AHLers at the end of a season against a team that is tuning up for a playoff run.

blows me away that people think moving up 4 draft spots, which can't happen anyway so get over it- but that moving up 4 spots will magically fix the problems.
This is a 2-3 year turn-around, superstar or not this year. Might as well get used to it and enjoy people working hard and earning their contracts. It's a refreshing adjustment after the years and years of don't give a ####.

Had an idea!

Sure we need a #1 pick. Would love to have one. But I don't think simply mailing it in to obtain that is the right way to go about it.

I'm pretty sure most people are aware of how having a top 3 is better than drafting 6 or 7. They just don't wallow in self pity and would just rather look on the bright side and hope for the best. Some people are always pessimistic, while others are always optimistic.

Don't act like picking 1-4 isn't just as big of a gamble and not a slam dunk.

This draft there isn't that much of a gap 1-7. Its a great draft. Tons of people are getting too worked up over the top three and neglecting the fact that any of the other five players available would certainly be top of their class in most other drafts. I think what people are wanting is the dog and pony show and attention that having a top three pick like it will somehow make it fun or bearable. Personally I don't really care about all the hoop-la surrounding drafting in the top three. Just want a great pick to be made.
MacKinnon would be an awesome pick but Barkov, Lindholm, Monahan are all very strong players as well.
