Guy from Linkin Park apparently.

Hung himself, leaving 6 children from 2 wives.

I found out while listening to the radio in Toronto traffic. The announcer gave a very moving speech about crippling depression and seeking help. One thing in his speech that stood out was how he explained that Chester had a great way of articulating the challenges of depression through his music while the society around it ignored mental health issues or approached them in a counter-productive way.

Very sad news. Depression is a dangerous and crippling disease.

Wow, RIP.

Quite a quote in that article:

"The idea that success equals happiness pisses me off," he told Metal Hammer in 2016. "It's funny to think that just because you're successful you're now immune to the full range of the human experience.

That article has a lot of info about that band I didn't know about, wow. It is very sad, RIP Chester. We really do need to get more info out there for mental health issues, it effects everyone. Just like he said in the quote Delgar posted it doesn't matter how successful you are later in life, things can still be very crippling as an adult. Too young to die.

I was a LP fan during my teenage years and still appreciate their music. RIP.
