Default #15 Yale Drops #2 Minnesota in Overtime

Yale wins 3-2 over Minnesota in the NCAA West Regional semifinals
The GWG comes 9 seconds into OT which apparently is an NCAA record.

One goal and one assist for our guy Kenny Agostino. Including the assist on the GWG.

If your last name is Button, yer pretty much a scout, not a good scout, but yer a scout.

Except, he does not scout anymore, for a living. He is a media guy.

What little I've seen of him, he doesn't look like an NHL calibre prospect except maybe on a terrible team. The guy he reminds me of is Ben Street.

You don't have to be employed by an NHL team to scout. If TSN pays him to look at young players prior to the draft then he is in fact a scout.

Do you think he has watched either player? And if he has, as much as the Calgary scouts? Highly frigging doubtful.

Good on the kid.

Would be nice if this stayed on topic instead of people getting into a semantical argument for nothing.

I wasn't commenting on how much he has seen them. I was responding to you saying he is not a scout, when its pretty clear TSN uses him as a scout.

I take his opinion with a grain of salt but just because he may not be a good scout anymore, doesn't mean that is not part of his current job just because he appears on television.

Iginla's decision to pick Pittsburgh and its return over Feaster's preferred Boston return, already paying dividends.

Impossible to be a scout when you do live TV from Toronto 5 nights a week during hockey season.

You don't think there are different degrees to scouting? College scouts likely do alot of scouting through video and only go to games a couple days a week. Button isn't on TV 8 hours a day either, he is probably watching a ton of video all the time. Don;t get me wrong he is a part time scout who isn't able to see lots of games live, but he still does scouting. Stop kidding yourself.

Geez, what a bunch of whiners. Our newest prospect just had the game of his life in probably the biggest game played in NCAA D1 so far this year. That's good news. Enjoy it.

Great job Agostino!
