Default Where is Jay Feaster?

Not sure if this has been addressed. It is very possible I am missing something, and if so, apologies, but do we have a big elephant in the room? Where is Jay Feaster?

I am not aware of any recent public comments, dating to the Flames release following the O'Reilly offer sheet incident.

Is there some significant fallout from the O'Reilly offer sheet incident being dealt with quietly and discreetly?

Burke rumours ever substantiated?

Do the Flames firmly stand behind the public statement they made and have simply changed philosophy on level of public commentary?

Is Jay so busy working very sensitive, franchise shaking mega deals and lying low? Haven't heard much from Weisbrod or Conroy lately either.

Are there personal issues? Anybody can have these and it is good to be mindful and respectful of such.

I don't listen to the FAN much. Have the radio guys or Peter Maher mentioned him of late? If he has not been seen or heard of, it does not make sense that these guys would not speak to his low profile. Unless something is up.

Any evidence of recent sightings or theories would be of interest.

I'm glad they are keeping quiet.

With the team losing, there is nothing they can say to appease the blood thirsty mob.

All it would lead to is a bunch more ridiculous drive by one liners from the bitter masses.

Being special assistant to a missing person... hmm.

Lying low, can't find the boss and doesn't know what to do?

I assume at the GM meetings today in Toronto.
Wings likely clipped (whatever wings he was given) after the offer sheet mistake and then silence is telling for a guy who had no problem with talking to the press and at an always busy trade deadline lead up.

Millions apparently said on the Fan yesterday that Wisebrod is out scouting and not back in town until post trade deadline.
Haven't seen Conroy for a while.

Long story short I think Feasters bosses have effectively taken over the total control of the ship. Sure he'll still answer the phone and make phone calls regarding trades but I don't think he has any autonomy anymore to make moves, whatever he did have.

I think he's effectively been canned as a result of the O'Reilly issue. It's been three weeks, and not a peep out of him, that's too long.

I hope he is fired. I don't trust him at all or his talent group. The O'Reily fiasco even minus the fact we would of lost our pick for nothing the fact he thought a second line centre was worth more than our top 10 pick and at 6.5 mill seems crazy. This makes me wonder about their evaluation of guys like Jankowski I actually question if they can evaluate talent correctly now.

Going after Ryan Smyth was nuts. Having no back up plan when going after big flashy UA's like Richards doesn't work. Being adamant about staying the course when the team clearly needs rebuilt. Talking a big game with no trades to show for it. Crafting a pip squeak team that is too small to compete in the west. If there is an Iggy trade I dont know if I trust him with it honestly.

I presume Jay's been working the phones.
He's not saying much because they have nothing to announce/discuss.
He last spoke publicly when Baertschi got sent down last week.

After what happened with the O'Reilly fiasco and the ongoing performance of the team, Feaster is likely on a short leash and Ken King is playing this close to the chest.

One more gaff and I say Feaster is on the chopping block. Wouldn't be surprised if Weisbrod takes over the team.

Feaster is busy in his bat cave coming up with new catchphrases like "intellectual honesty" and "rock solid plan". He'll need them when he comes up empty again at the deadline.

If you actually watch him, you can see that he has exceptional on ice vision and playmaking abilities. Once he grows into his frame, I wouldn't be shocked if he became a 1st line center, and a good one. A Joe Thornton Lite in effect.

Also, he's likely in the process of fielding offers on everyone so he's more likely busy trying to figure out all the details and seeing if anything is there in trade offers etc.

I like that pick plus Sieloff too. I also like the majority of his trades and signings.

I guess the question really boils down to whether the O'Reilly situation had fallout that was really that bad, or whether he is really busy evaluating options leading up to the trade deadline.

Just odd, the silence

No doubt that Jay has been muzzled, Feaster is probably trying to acquire a couple top three centres for Tanguay & Cammalleri +

feasters probably kidnapped and being threatened in someone's basement.. If he doesn't do something to drastically change this team, he will soon get what's coming to him....
