Looks like a play Getzlaf would make.

Moves like drafting Jankowski will be a better litmus test of how good a GM Feaster was here in Calgary when its all said and done. I'm still excited for the Jankowski kid.....wish we would get to see him in a Flames uniform sooner than later. If Jankowski can live up to 70% of the hype i'll be pretty satisfied with the pick. Sweet pass too!

I think the Jankowski pick will go down as the best move Feaster made as GM of the Flames.

He actually made two gorgeous passes on that shift, the first one could also have been a goal if the recipient had pulled the trigger a bit quicker!

If this is the first you're seeing of his soft hands, take a gander over the Prospects forum on here. Jankowski actually impressed many this year and i'm personally quite glad the Flames went off the board to snag him, he could very well be a winner.

It's a little late now, but Providence games next season would be worth watching if you didn't catch this year. I believe Pierre Monster McGuire would agree that this kid could break out big time next season with a good off-season of bulking up and a young providence team being a year older!

Indeed, he is still flying under the radar, but that was part of the deal with him. Not only is he a freshman in the NCAA, but a YOUNG freshman. To put up points at a decent clip, many of which are from very slick and intelligent passing plays, means to me that he is right on track with what Feaster and Co. envisioned last June.

Please, please, please can this be the last post that refers to Jankowski being young?

Yes, he was the third youngest player in the NCAA. Let's move on and judge him on his merits now.

Why's that? I think it's a fairly important factor in his development and also an indicator that he is on the sweet train to the NHL. I'm definitely not sick of hearing that he is the third youngest player in the NCAA. Especially when we see plays like these.

He is almost 6 4 now, finished the season at 170. He played better towards the end. Does not do well, at this point, in any type of one on one strength situations as he is very weak.

He has very good vision and hands but has a difficult time getting to where he wants to go.

Big off season for him.

The goalie could be the real deal. Sensational season.

This is a very good comparison; his stride and style, in addition to his hands and shot are very reminiscent of Getzlaf.

It is not a factor in his development at all. Don't get me wrong I am not knocking him in any way - I like the pick. But it has been covered - for almost a full year now, every post has to include "he's so young'. It's getting old.

And it is not an indicator that he is on the sweet tack to the NHL. His play is what will determine his track - let's just focus on that. His play is good enough on its own.
