I killed myself laughing after I read On The Line. As disheartening as it is to admit, that is as close to glass half full as you can get these days

Just a brutal game from the Flames tonight. T.J. Brodie does remain a positive during the season. As does Backlund's play.
Remember how the Habs were playing out the final stretch last season...I remember they were just completely beat, nothing to play for, knew they were out of it early, they were listless. This is how the Flames are playing right now. Just no inspired play, not focussed or willing to pay any price to win battles, it's tough to watch.
Pretty crazy to think that this is possibly the worst Calgary Flames team ever.

Just finished watching the game, had to work late tonight. 'Hawks were able to keep the Flames on the perimeter, while clogging the shooting lanes. The Flames have to get something working towards the net, whether it is dropping a shoulder and driving, or cycling with a weak side cutter, but nothing seemed to be generated off of some decent O-Zone possession in the 1st and 3rd. The 2nd had your guys on the PK, and your guys took way too many icings at even strength, no possession at all.
Comeau and Jackman had some good early shifts, but I don't recall seeing much of that combo after the 1st.
'Hawk forwards Kane, Frolik, and Saad were all effort and had really good games. Emery had an easy night for the Shutout.
Kipper gave your guys a chance, although the 1st goal was not a good one...but good or bad, very few good scoring chances for your guys, so you can't blame goaltending for the loss...Cammalleri simply can't abandon the D-zone just because he lost his stick, whether or not Kipper got interfered with, a D man cannot be allowed to walk down that low unchallenged.
Better luck in your team in their final game of the season which is against my guys (the 'Hawks penultimate regular season game).

I like the lines Hartley has finally somewhat settled with. Iggy is too frustrating to play with, I'm glad Backlund is off his line.
Had to laugh at the Tanguay put downs on Sportsnet, as much as Tanguay has scored key goals, he isn't teflon Iggy when it comes to the media. Yes, Tanguay is a big minus player right now, it would be awesome to see him with a big center to make room for him. Kind of like what Toews does for Kane.
Had to laugh at all the comments about how awesome it would be to reunite Iggy with Crosby in Pittsburgh before the Morrow trade. Iggy and Crosby struggled together during the Olympics, there was no chemistry between them at all! I think Iggy scored 3 or 4 again'st a goalie from Denmark that was a carpenter during his day job. The best line was the Toews line, they didn't allow an even strength goal line again'st them the entire tourney.
