Default Good Frame shops in Calgary?

I bought a couple nice prints recently so i am looking to get them framed. The only problem is i don't want to get bent over in framing fees. Any suggestions?

I recommend Frame Source off Blackfoot.

You tend to get what you pay for though.

I used a place in Avenida of MacLeod a few years back for some custom work.

Very happy with the work but as Ironhorse said...you get what you pay for.

I got some pictures framed at Costco, you do get what you pay for but they did a decent job for much less than anywhere else (if you're not looking for super custom work just a frame/mat).

Depends on the frame, depends on the matting, depends on the glass. Many variables at play here; my wife figures a ballpark of about $150/each to have it done right. You probably get a deal for all three. At least you can get a quote for no charge.

Joints in Kensington used to do framing and they were excellent. Definitely not cheap, but very good.

there are numerous shops in town in the framing district, wander around and get quotes.

micheals seeming has coupons all the time for this service - if cost is important you may want to investigate further

What about one of those do it yourself shops? How difficult can it be?

If price is a concern Costco is probably your best bet. They're cheaper than a custom place or Michael's, even with a 60% off coupon.
