7 games tonight
Of note: Boston vs. Toronto-Leafs up 2-0 midway through the 2nd and Boston is struggling to score despite outplaying the Leafs. This could be a game that pushes Boston to make a move for Iggy.
Ottawa leading New Jersey 1-0 after the 1st. Plucky Ottawa team...
Chicago leading L.A. 1-0 in the first. Kings struggling offensively so far with just 2 shots almost halfway through the 1st. Maybe they need Iginla more than Boston?
Edmonton leads Nashville 1-0 in the 1st.
Minnesota and Dallas about to start.
8 p.m. starts:
Detroit vs. Phoenix
San Jose vs. Anaheim.
Edit:Milan Lucic just scored in the Boston game. Pretty nice goal too.

I want the Bruins to run up the score on the leafs. If the leafs let in 4-5 goals I think they'll make a big push for Kipper.

But then the Bruins don't need Iggy!

I gotta say, IF Peverly is part of a package for Iginla, I wouldn't be upset at all. He's a very very good all-around player.

Toronto had the Bruins hemmed in their own zone for a decent amount of time there. Lucic and Ference looked a little lost letting easy passes slip through, then they head up the ice and Lucic lets a hard hard wrister go that I thought had a chance.

Nashville scores: goal by Kostitsyn. I wonder if he can work his way back into the coach's favor? Tie game at 1 a piece.

Lucic looks decent offensively this game, but Horton seems to be really fighting the puck.

Lucic has started skating and not being lazy, probably the reason he's looked so good this game. Horton has been invisible.

Probably everyone when they saw he hadn't scored in 16 games?
I don't know if that's back patting time.

it would be nice if there were a few 3 point games tonight.... Just to put a little more distance between the Flames and "buyer" mode

He's a poor man's Glencross. I really hope he's not included in any trade involving Calgary.
And very good all around players don't lead their team in the - category.

Really? I don't see that at all. He doesn't score a ton and probably more of a passer. He also doesn't take a lot of penalties (especially of the selfish variety), and he's a very good penalty killer. Defensively aware, fairly physical, very quick, and can chip in offensively.
Oh yeah, he wins nearly 60% of his faceoffs. I say yes to him.
Edit: since you added on there...
He was +20 last season. I'd say he's pretty good.

picks and prospects have to be the main goal of any trades. As for Peverly, I think the B's would want to keep him. His contract isn't too bad and he's a good player. I think the Flames need to look at really young players for the future and look to next years UFA pool for their lineup players

Dallas up 1-0 on a Goligoski goal.
