Multiple 1sts Swap

The Blues and Jackets got together for a trade on Monday afternoon. Headed to St. Louis are a couple 2013 1sts and coming back to the Jackets are picks in 2013 and 2014. The trade shakes down as follows:

To Columbus:

To St. Louis:
2013 1st(cbj) currently 10th overall
2013 1st(nyi) currently 30th overall

With this move, the Jackets still have 2 2013 1sts but now own 5 1sts in 2014.

Im pretty sure the Pens own the Anaheim 1st unless I dealt it in a move I am not sure about.

Interesting move to defer picks, one of which is really good, in a draft considered to be so strong, for slightly more picks in what looks like a comparatively week draft next year. Clearly the positioning of the 2014 picks will sway this deal. I'd probably prefer the 2013 picks if I had the choice.

I am willing to gamble on the 2014 picks especially with us moving to a lottery format and will always take a 2 for 3 type deal with one of the 1sts I give away being very late. Worth the rick IMO but understand why GM's would prefer the 2013 1sts.

I have two more 2013 1sts I am willing to trade for 2014 1sts if anyone is interested!

Just to clarify, IF I trade 2013 1sts I would be looking for a 1 for 2 or 2 for 3 type deals...already getting offers on 2 for 2 deals which I have zero interest in.

In the 2nd deal between GM's Penney and Teeling involving multiple 1st round picks this week, the Blues have added two more 2013 1st's.

-2013 1st (Col) Cur 26th

That brings the total to six 1st round picks heading into this years draft, including 3 potential top 10's. Very much looking forward to the draft this year!
