Default CP business networking

Not sure if this exsits already somewhere, but thought it could be interesting to start a thread for people to share what they do for work in the hope of making some connections with other CP'ers.

My wife attends a business networking group and it's pretty effective for meeting people in her industry, referrals etc.

I'd happily refer a CP tradesman over some average joe off Google or out of the yellow pages.

Anyone?

So is that what the call a Swingers club these days?....joking aside I think this is a great idea. Last month I was in dire need to get my water tank replaced the first place I checked was CP but I did not find enough information to contact the guy on CP directly so by the time he answered his pm I already had somebody else out.(Tenants really needed hot water)

There is the power ring section but it's kinda buried in the buy/sell section.

Who knew!

Almost 10 years coming to CP and never once stumbled on this stuff! Probably too busy watching cat videos....

The group has not met for a while, but it could be revived. We had some good meetings.

I would agree, it would be nice to know a demographic though. My business deals with project management/project accounting system for engineering and architectural firms for example so it would be a bonus if we had people from that segment at a marketing group.

It would also be a good way to know which Oilers fan-based businesses to boycott.

Can we expand that to Vancouver fan-based businesses as well?

What? I think once you "come out" there's no reason to make a big thing about it again.

Good idea. Maybe keep the first post updated from time to time with a list of all the CPers along with what they do that volunteer that information.
