I think the last mcd burger that I ate in the 70's is still working its way out of my system. A 1948 burger would be horrifying.

Started reading first paragraph and gave up when I realized author knows nothing..... not that I was expecting anything more than that

McDonald's uses ground chuck. This is the exact fat to lean ratio. Ground chuck is 80% lean. So if your supermarket doesn't offer ground chuck, then buy ground beef that's 80% lean. It is the same.

That's a lot of trouble for a 1.39 cheeseburger. Just sayin.

10 cents in 1950.

I think it would be a great social event. Recreate the old burgers we never had and invite friends over for a flames game.

If you witnessed my burger making, most of this process is nothing. I make fantastic fracking burgers.

I like the reconstituted onions. Usually a grill onions them and let them candy on their own for a few hours. I wonder what fun tastes you can create with the dehydrated onions.

I wish I could find someone who sells their pickles. I've found some that are close, but nothing exactly the same.
