What a deal!
What an overpayment!
Sign and trade?
What was the point of the lockout?

Did I miss any?

Seems like a slight overpayment for the first year or two but could be a good deal towards the 2nd half of the deal. He's on pace for a 24 goal season (pro-rated to 82 games) currently and had 60 pts last year.

Not a bad player for someone Montreal was able to sign out of college, without having to trade players, or use a draft pick on.

I love the second line they got going out there in Montreal (Pacioretty/Desharnais/Gallagher). Sadly Montreal might be a very good team going forward with Subban hitting his stride and with Galchenyuk likely becoming a great player.

Not a bad deal. Desharnais has played well so far and is young and can develop with the young core they have in Montreal with Price, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk and Subban.

Subban at 2.6 probably feels a little miffed

The deal will look good in a year or two. I'm hoping Johnny Hockey posts similar numbers to him since they are both smaller players.

Pacioretty, Desharnais, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Subban, Price, Diaz... damn Montreal has a good team.

Great signing and value on Desharnais.
