Lets talk about Jarome
The guy, as usual, had a slow start to the season; but one thing we can say for sure he has been contributing as the captain.
He has really started to heat up around February 24th. I forsee him leading this team in goals this year.

Anyone with a 5th grade grasp on math able to tell me how many goals PR gam has gotta score to hit 30 this year? What about 30 in a full season?

I would rather "the captain" be the hardest working player on the ice for all 48 games than the teams leading goal scorer.

24 goals in the next 28 games. Childs play for a guy like Brett Hull circa 1991.

I'm glad he seems to be finding his groove again, can't say I'm surprised by the slow start. I wouldn't be surprised to see him lead the team in goals again but also wouldn't be surprised if Cammi, Scoreface or Stemps took it(provided none of them get traded). Cammi has been hot since his return, Stemps scores in bunches and I was surprised to see the Scoreface has 7 this year.

Can't complain about the scoring on the team I guess.

Two years ago, Jarome had 18 goals in the last 18 games of the season, and 13 goals in the last 10 games of the season.

Yep, I was surprised, Tangs has 6, Iggy 6, Cammi 8, Stemps 6 and Scoreface 7. Hell even Backlund has 3 in 8 games, prorates to roughly 30 goals over a full season(unlikely but still).

Well he is mr 2 goal preformance, so that means he only has to score in 12 out of 28 games.

Personally, I think he has been lacking in the "captain" department. Except the one game where he fought. He IS getting some ugly goals, which is positive. Would love to see the guy go out and play what we thought 'his game' should be. Would rather him be creating chances and getting physical, thus sparking the team to go out and give 100%. I think that if he did that, the goals would follow.

Great guy and all, but if he wants more than $5mil next year..... later bro! You may be the face of the franchise, but you aren't the franchise player. Feaster needs to re-sign Kipper asap!

None of Jarome's goals have been very Jarome like, its almost like he has trouble scoring from 10 feet out and greater.
He's not scoring off the rush anymore, not from the face off dots and that concerns me.

A lot of his goals have been from close in this year. It seems like he's missed the net a lot on shots from the circle and that jucy cross ice pass for the one-timer on the powerplay has been taken away by teams. He still receives a lot of attention by defenders and can't create the space for himself he used to. He seems to get knocked off the puck pretty easily now compared to when he was young and was like a bull in the corners. Anyone that's reached their late 30's/early 40's can attest that you simply aren't the man you were in your 20's physically even if you stay in shape.

Don't care where his goals come from, he's getting them and you don't win games without goals. You can pick apart any NHL player's game to find negative instances, unfortunately they're not robots programmed to play the perfect game, yet. He's a beauty.

How exactly, can we say this for sure? What has you so convinced that he's "contributing as the captain". I'm going to assume you aren't in the room, so what exactly are you seeing on the ice through your TV set or in the crowd that makes that a certainty for you?
