Will there be a game Sunday night?
The Canucks haven't flown out yet.
It's snowing and the Calgary airport ain't taking planes right now.
Will there be a game Sunday night?
(Can we get a poll, please, mods?)

If they do, it might be like that flames/devils game in 87

Flights are still arriving at the airport based on the arrivals information.

The Nucks next game is Tuesday at home against the Sharks. The Flames next game is Wednesday here against the Sharks. There is nothing scheduled at the Saddledome Monday night. The weather is supposed to start clearing tonight and be good by tomorrow afternoon.
I suspect they push the game to tomorrow night.

I'm sure fans can still go. I see many cars driving around right now.
And if the C-Train is running then there shouldn't be a problem.

The Nucks tweeted that they were boarding their plane about an hour ago. You have to think they need to make a decision soon so they can alert the fans whether or not to head down to the game.

I think there will be a game. The Calgary airport had a 30 minute ground stop earlier due to a power issue that impacted the runway lights. The issue has been fixed and the weather outlook at the airport is improving up to 24 arrivals per hour at present time (which is less than usual) but should not be an issue for a charter like the Canucks flight.

Technically, yes - an NHL game will be played on Sunday night in Calgary.

Canucks should just wave their white towels. It could start a tradition of their fans waving white towels, hahaha that would be pretty stupid.

I wonder if this means we break out to a big first period lead only to disappear over the second and third periods ...
But that never happens here.

Their plane is east of Kelowna now, they'll be here before 3:30. The game being pushed back an hour is the worst case scenario I'd think.

The RCMP is closing all highways in the Calgary area; Calgary Transit is experiencing major delays city wide; CPS is advising only necessary travel.
Even if the Canucks do land at a reasonable time, they still might push the game back to tomorrow.

Their travel from the airport to the Dome would fall under necessary travel.

I'm thinking of the 19,289 in the stands plus all the people who work at the game. The Flames had a game cancelled in Denver a few years ago because of unsafe travel conditions even though both teams were in Denver and available.

They did the same thing for the Bruins/Lightning game earlier this year.
