Default Daymond Langkow

Where is Daymond Langkow these days? Has he retired, or is he just a UFA?

He's officially retired. Not sure if he just couldn't find a roster spot or if it was medical.

Retired, announced, at least on the Fan, right after lockout lifted...though maybe JF can convince him to come back and and play here. Imagine...an actual center, playing center.

I don't think it was either. It sounded like he didn't even work out during the lockout. I think at his age he figured enough was a enough and the lockout took away the desire to play any more.

Don't think he ever fully recovered from that Ian White slapshot to the back of the neck

At this point, I'd take Alexei Yashin on a cheap contract if he's interested.

YES I WENT THERE.

Did we have a retirement thread for Langkow?

We should have, solid flame and a smart player. I'm loving the Stempniak for Langkow deal though

This only center that's going to help this team is Crosby.

That's why I don't understand why we don't just trade Iginla for him. Gm's are really stupid like that.

lol. The point is that there really isn't a quick fix for this team. Trading assets to maybe get into 8th doesn't make sense. Getting a guy like Langkow is a move in the wrong direction too.

Langkow is the exactly the type of guy we need to kill penalties and to protect the lead with 3 minutes left to go in the game.

Isnt Gelinas right behind the bench? Get him to lace 'em up again. What is he? Lazy?

that would be classic. Gelinas says screw it Darryl wouldn't resign me when i wanted to stay.
These guys don't want to to go to the crease to finish, Eliminator says Jay sign me to a 2 way and i will show them up around the net and what it takes to score meaningful gritty goals. Give me 1 week.

I think he is too busy GMing the Russian Women's National Team.

'Tis but a mere inconvenience. He can do that on the side as a hobby. We are more important.
