Default Hall suspended 2 games.

This is a terrible suspension in my opinion, but Hall is gone 2 games for kneeing Clutterbuck.

It's a terrible suspension because there was no intent at all on the play for a knee. He led with the shoulder and just got unlucky when he collided with the knee.

Seems about right for the first time offender.

Looked very intentional to me.

Thought he would get 1 game, but 2 is fine. Dangerous play.

He is lucky he didn't get more. If I was running the league he wouldn't play another game until Clutterbuck was able to play again. You end someones career with a reckless play, too bad, your career comes to an end too.

2 games seems about right to me. A very reckless play, but no real intent to hurt, and a first offence. I might have gone 3, but at that point we're quibbling over details.

How did he lead with his shoulder?

He turned his shoulder away from Clutterbuck and stuck out his hip and leg. It wasn't like Clutterbuck changed his path at the last second either, was pretty consistent on his path.

Earned suspension and could have been more. If that would have been Clutterbuck on Hall, Clutterbuck would have been gone for 5 games at least

If the hit had happened last year, I think he may have received a few more games than he did this year, but I think two is fair suspension, with him being a first time offender and all.

Dont agree with you at all. 2 games is perfect, and easily could've been more.

He got off lucky which isn't surprising considering the NHL employs a two-tiered disciplinary system where star players are spared proper punishment. Should have been 3-5 games as Clutterbuck didn't even have the puck.

Anytime a player opens his hips and has his knee out like that it doens´t matter if there is also a shoulder out, that knee can end a season. Clutterbuck was going around him and players know exactly what can happen if you try to stop someone like that.

That was a dirty hit. If it was the otehr way around Clutterbuck would be gone 10-20 games.

So many awful points in the op. have you skated before? Clutterbucks not changing direction. So how can it just be "unlucky" and Hall isnt responsible for not kneeing someone in the leg? Who cares what he intended how are we supposed to know, it was a dangerous play.

People will argue all day what the intent was so I won't talk about that. However you see it, it was a very stupid play but a player is showing he is far too reckless for his own good. Happy with the suspension although I was hoping for a few more games.

Hall is just a dumb player.

Appropriate. Looked like a hit thrown by a frustrated and inexperienced player that went horribly wrong. The hip/thigh contact didn't look intentional, but there has to be a measure of responsibility on the hitter for the outcome.

was at the game last night, mostly to watch the dany heatley show, and instantly thought it should be a couple games. Vicious hit, the game was over, there was no need for it.

On a side note, Hall is a terrible hockey player IMO. No hockey sense whatsoever, basically just skates as fast as he can, head down, then either shoots from a bad angle or loses the puck and inevitably crashes into the boards.

I would have given him a couple more at least, but at least he got something. Intentional or not, skating around and leaning in to hit a player with your leg sticking out not only could result in a major injury to to player being hit, but also Hall himself.

It was a reckless, stupid play. Glad he got at least 2.
