Flames California Road Trip

I was thinking of heading to California for a 2-3 game road trip on March 8-11, does anybody know if the Flames or any travel centers in Calgary put together packages?

I was thinking about doing that very same trip for my stag party this year. I hope there are some package deals that can be put together.

Even though my name isn't Vinny, I too was considering making a trip out of this. Let me know what you might find out, but I've never heard of a package outside of people who plan their own.

I've done a few trips to LA for Flames/Kings games, in the past few years. We've always made our own packages. Booked the trip through expedia for the flight and hotel. We usually stay at the Ritz Carlton across the street at LA Live, but the Marriott is right there too. I believe the team stays here as well.

We've always bought our tickets through Stubhub and have had zero issues with them. There is a bit of a markup through Stubhub, but it's still upwards of 50% cheaper then a game at the Saddledome (ie. Lower bowl center ice, $100). Although that may change with the new popularity of the Kings after the cup win.

As for getting to Anaheim...we cab it down to Union Station for less then $10, purchase Amtrak tickets and take the 45 minute train ride to Anaheim. Train tickets are about $14 plus another $10 for business class (which is guaranteed seating that includes wine and snacks). From there its a 5-10 minute walk to the Honda center.

It's usually a great trip, with nice weather and LA has lots to offer entertainment wise.

I've done an LA game before - stayed here:

Fantastic, would definitely recommend. Nice fans, too. You got the odd drunk telling you to go back home, but most were nice and hockey knowledgeable. Make sure you PVR the game. We managed to get on HNIC when the Flames scored.

Tickets were from Stubhub.

Didn't see any packages so to speak. I would think that's a bit of a niche market...

I am pumped I got my stag party booked for this road trip. Just bought my tickets off stub hub and paid about $70/ticket for lower bowl to the Ducks game and $60 for mid tier seats in the Staples and I was able to get 8 seats in a row for both games! Only going for the Friday and Saturday games and staying in Hollywood.

Anyone know of a good night spot in Hollywood/LA

For a stag, you're going to want to visit the Deja Vu club in the City of Industry.

a group of coworker buddies and I are headed down... the Sunday is also Lakers / Bulls which I'm looking forward to as well.

I suspect / hoping that there will be lots of Flames fans on a trip like this.

Two games in a row in LA. When was the last time a team even played two in a row at the same place on the road?

Not the road trip you're talking about, but I'll be at the April game in San Jose. If anyone needs info on the SF Bay area let me know.

How much are you looking to spend? Flight and hotel starts at around $500. Crappy flight and meh hotels though.
