Wow great pics. I really got to travel somewhere nice like that or Europe. The closest thing to nice that I've been is Mexico but I only spent a day there and 90% of the time was in Tijuana. nothing spectacular.
Hope you enjoyed your trip, looked like you had an amazing time.

Can't wait 'til July 27. I'm going to Australia for a semester of school. I've never been to Hawaii or anywhere comparable. Aaaaeee!

That's near the Haneole blow hole. Just a tiny secluded beach.
Thx for the comments! It was the best trip of my life! I may actually end up moving there. I'm born and raised in Calgary but my dad is american which makes me one aswell. Even for a year it'd be totally worth it. But I bet i'd find myself staying there. It's just so goddam amazing!
Get myself NHL Center Ice and i'm good to go brah! lol and no... didn't run into the dog... although we knew a lady who had a house on the eastern shore and the dog and his family use their private beach from time to time.
Also, i've got alot more pics, but just posted some random pics. I'll pick out a couple more tommorow when i'm not going cross eyed. Sleep time!

I went to the big island last summer and saw a rainbow like that, but for some reason it wouldn't show up on my camera. That first picture looks like there could be a decent snorkling/scuba location.
Jet lag from Honolulu? Try New Zealand, and Thailand :P Roughly 13 hours in a plane from NZ to LA (5 hour lay overs common) and then another 2-3 to Calgary. Thailand is much worse.

The locals warn of "Island Fever" where the walls of the ocean start to close in on you after a while . . . . . people move there and then move back because they can't handle the isolated location.
But I've been to Maui three times and I could easily set up shop there for a few months of the year for sure.

I have to ask, Jordan, why did you take a picture of a newspaper box?
That being said, great pics. Looks like it was a blast.

I could see that happening on the other islands... but no Oahu. Honolulu is too modern for that to happen... it's alot bigger than I thought. The ONLY thing i'd miss would be playing hockey and going to games live. OTher than that, the laid back lifestyle of the people there is a-ok by me. I heard no complaints from native people or even people from the mainland U.S.A. who have moved there.
Give me a shack, satellite tv, and an internet connection.

umm... doesn't that kinda defy the point of moving to Hawaii? The lifestyle?

WTF... Honolulu is a major city with actual businesses. Not everyone lives in the jungle without water or cable. You've been there haven't you?
People do watch TV there... and use the internet. Should I grow Pineapples or something? I can do Web design from anywhere so why would I stay and freeze my ass off in Canada or anywhere else when I can live in Paradise? Think about it.
