Default Home Alarm Systems

Anyone know of good home alarm systems? I am looking for a company that is fairly reasonable that has video monitoring. Thanks

ADT ripped me off so bad on the commercial side that I would recommend anyone besides them. I would even recommend leaving your front door open and your valuables piled in the entry way over ever using them.

In summery, ADT SUCKS!

hmmm... adt doesn't do commercial and I'm in nothing but residential. If anything, we give deals. But as for equipment - they are above and beyond. Although, i prefer to self monitor with Vera.

Well, I most definitely have a retail business and unfortunately use ADT. And ADT has been the worst company I've ever dealt with.

And as for equipment, the cameras they sold me are the biggest rip off ever. I am partially to blame because I didn't research them before buying them, but it should be criminal to sell such crap.

I've never been lied to more or received worse customer service than from ADT. If I had the time I would go springs1 on their ass and spend 8 hours a day finding random websites and warning everyone about how crappy they are.

My company used to use ADT. They changed companies after having too many random false alarms. Not sure why they occurred but they stopped after switching companies.

I also had a brutal experience with ADT. False Alarms all the time and it cost more money up front and monthly.

I switched to United Alarms and have had no problems since.

Apparently some newer systems have the dialing mechanism built right into the panel.... which means you just break in and rip the panel off the wall and smash it, no alarm. Don't get one of those.

United Alarm Good. Reliance Protectron Bad. Nothing but false alarms and garbage service.
