Considering Poni was ufa, picking up 2 draft picks is good asset management. Not sure if they would get more than that at deadline. Is WPG a seller now?
Chevaldayoff seems to be able to trade away higher priced older players for picks and quickly find replacements on the cheap. Tangradi to replace Ponikarovsky and at last year's deadline, Clitsome to replace Oduya. Seems to be a good asset manager.

No, I'm guessing they moved Poni because they expect Tangradi to move into his spot or Ponikarovsky was simply moved down the depth chart with Tangradi being acquired today. Either way I wouldn't read into it too much.
