Yikes, started off this season getting a shot on Malkin's wing and now the Pens are sending him away for a bag of pucks.
Surprised they couldn't get more for him but I guess teams knew they Pens didn't want him and would have to waive him to send him down.

He is terrible. Oft-injuired and 5 points in 45 career games.
If he fetches a 7th now maybe the Flames can get some low picks at the deadline

has had every chance playing with malkin, but who knows, a lot of guys seem to excel on strange teams like the jets, panthers etc.

IF Nemisz is our top prospect we are in for a 10 year rebuild.

what are these trades you speak of?
you mean a team can exchange a player for different players and/or draft picks?
has anyone told Feaster of this marvellous discovery?

Feaster: "Wait, you can make trades without throwing in a 2nd round pick?"

I do not mind loyalty to players. Seems that would be how you build a good franchise..just not in CGY right now. But you can sense something coming when you look at the roster size right now, the revolving door from the minors scrambling to find something to fill holes with. You can only use in house talent so much until you realize you need to start looking outside of the organization.
Who would be the last call up before they start looking at the trade market? My guess would be Horak. But maybe getting Byron his shot and if that doesn't work maybe it will be time to make a trade.
I think a lot of the reasoning why Feaster hasn't made a deal yet is because they may have set a date (say the end of segment two) to see what they have and go from that point.

I think the problem is that the guys in the minors like Street deserve to be up here.
What was wrong with his play? Why send him down?
I'd rather have him on the 4th than Comeau and Jones.
It's the support players that I think should be traded for late draft picks. IMO the Flames are now much better at finding gems in the late rounds.

He looked lost - not ready for prime time. I hear you on Comeau/Jones and I will throw in Begin/Jackman - need to find the modern incarnation of Otto/Patterson M. Hunter

I'm glad he got a 7th. Dumb Pens fans can stop peddling him off in trade proposals and grossly overvaluing him at the same time. That fanbase seems to think they have the greatest prospects. Its nice for them to get a reality check.

More action from the Jets...?
@TSNBobMcKenzie Hearing rumors of Alexei Ponikarovsky's trade out of WPG. NJD perhaps? Checking.
@TSNBobMcKenzie WPG has apparently traded Alexei Ponikarovsky to NJD. Details to follow.
