Screening the tendy....
I've wondered this forever....why is it that so many teams do not throw a body in front of the oppositions tendy on all PP's? Guys like Holmstrom and Franzen have made a career out of it and it's proved to be effective.
Roberts was a champ at it when we had him but it's not been a guaranteed move in recent years. No doubt you need to be able to take some punishment but if it's going to improve your PP and in turn your shot at winning games then it's a no brainer.
It bothers me to no end to see the perimeter pass game wasting PP's year after year. Pick a guy, send him in front and do it every time.
Please and thank you.

I also like the fringe benefit of ensuring a defender needs to stay close. Makes it easier to move the puck around the perimeter.

Maybe the coach told the players that they were going to start screening the "tendy" on the power play and the players didnt take him seriously.

I cooked my noodles a little too tendy. Should I use a cheese cloth for my screen?

players are too scared to get hit in front. I think Glencross is the only one that stands in front of the net most of the game for the Flames. Jackman does it too but he doesn't get a lot of shifts though.

Giordano and Bouwmeester are both doing a great job of screening the goalie.
Oh wait, nevermind

I think with how fickle refs have been about calling tendy interference this year that you'll be seeing a lot less of it from now on.
