Kovalev could be done with the Panthers

It appears as though Alex Kovalev's time with the Florida Panthers is over.
According to reports out of Florida, the 40-year-old winger did not make the trip with the team to Carolina to play the Hurricanes on Saturday. Reports state the Panthers are looking at other options and that an announcement is pending.

Kovalev sucks but he's won at this level and has tallent, he's just lazy. Maybe they wanted him to be there for some of the younger guys or that he would want it more for some reason.

Ottawa's probably on the phone making arrangements. Either them or Montreal (though their new GM doesn't seem to take lightly to loafters). My guess is the Sens.

Kovalev hated Ottawa and his play showed it. I doubt the Sens want to deal with that again.
