so could you coat a car in this stuff, and never have to wash it again? hell if you could combine the technology with fabric and made furniture/carpet with it, you'd be a billionaire from all the grateful parents of toddlers

I have worn wookboots for most of my adult life, and that application interests me the most. Especially working in a meat packing plant where you need to wash your boots to avoid the blood, meat and fat from sticking on overnight.

If I had any, I'd coat my offspring with this.

Interesting, what kind of "nanotechnology" is this? CNTs?
The key question I guess one would have to ask is, whats it reactive to? Whats its boiling/melting point? Etc.

I'd be interested to see how long this actually lasts. If it wears off my boots in a few days, it's not of much use to me.

I'm totally buying this stuff for my work clothes and boots. I'm sure I can find other things to use it for too.

I would love to see fingerprints slide off a screen, that'd be the coolest thing ever.

I wonder how permeable this stuff is. Like if bacteria can't even get through couldn't you essentially just put this on all your clothes and never have to wash them again?
Yes, this technology probably has far reaching applications that could improve a number of things and I'm still thinking of my laundry.

Isnt anybody concerned about the application of nanotechnology!!!
Isn't there like 100 TV shows and movies that suggest this could turn out horribly!!
I would like to present one obscure, but very good reason why this could be bad!!

If this could be applied as an automotive paint coating, it could be revolutionary. Think of all the water it would save? Yeah it would put a ton of car washes out of business, but man, that would be awesome.
