I've yet to see a Seinfeld thread before and latley have been having a little Seinfeld DVD burnout so thought this was a valid thread.
My personal fav. would have to be George in the washroom, when the unemployment office calls regarding Vandelay Inudstries and Kramer picks up the phone. And you wanna be my laytex salesman?
Next one would have to be Newman, while driving and singing, and then the mail truck lights on fire.
Have at it....

About three seconds after the final episode when I realized that this awful show was going to go away. I've never understood why Seinfeld was so popular. Jerry Seinfeld is just terribly unfunny.

You're just terribly un-right. (IMO - just to be polite)

Are you fataing kidding me? Probably the most outrageous comment on this site EVER. Honestly the first time i've seen somebody say they hate Seinfeld... but you're entitled to that... i'm just in shock Now Everybody Loves Raymond... that's a show I don't get why it's so popular.

when jerry appeared on the late show an entire tv season after the last seinfeld, he got the biggest standing ovation i have ever seen on a talk show.
people had been watching regular tv...
my fave will always be 'the switch' - when george figured out a scheme by which jerry ould switch roomates.
'eureka'!
'it's the perfect plan'
and the backfire.
george, 'don't you thank god you know me, and have access to my dementia?'
honourable mention goes to steinbrenner appearing at george's parents' house, with his hat in his hand and says
'george is dead'.
his dad screams, 'you traded jay buener!'
and the nonchalant message on jerry's machine, 'jerry, this is mr. costanza, mr. steinbrenner's here, george is dead, call me back.'

Just a curious question to the anti-Seinfeld posters here........
What show would you consider funny, if Seinfeld 'sucks'?

I dunno what it is. I've tried watching Seinfeld, but I usually changed the channel by the first commercial break. It was just painful to watch.
I never liked Friends either. I also agree on Everybody Loves Raymond. Though I think the last few years nobody thought Ray was funny, it's just that NBC (?) got themselves into a long-term contract for big money. I think they pretty much had to keep making the show simply to justify what they were stuck paying him.
Then again, there have been very few sitcoms I liked. MASH is a classic, and I liked Home Improvement the first time around. There is not a whole lot else out there that was very good.
Oh, apologies to Flames1987 for hijacking his thread.

The Simpsons, Family Guy (yes it finally grew on me) and That 70's Show for the current ones.
My brain hurts to much right now to think what I watched in years before but I'll edit my post to add them when I dont have to worry about anything else.

I never liked Seinfeld either, but I only turn on the television for CBC news, hockey and CFL coverage. I get three channels when I play with the rabbit ears. My sense of humour was warped at an early age by Frank Zappa anyways. "The Dangerous Kitchen" makes me howl, too funny.

I like Seinfeld but give me an episode of M*A*S*H (before it got preechy) or Hogans Heroes any day of the week. I really liked Seinfeld, but those two shows were just a knotch better. Same thing with mid 90s Simpsons in my opinion.

When Cramer dresses like a pimp and is walking down the street, then gets caught pulling a hooker and some guy from his car (which happens to be very pimp-ish) and then cops drive up.

Okay not liking Seinfeld is something I don't get but fair enough, but effing Home Improvement? That ranks up there with Full House on the stink-o-meter. I swear when they were doing the casting for that show they put out a call for "most annoying men, women and children please apply".
