Default Amazing Acts of CP

This board can be ruthless at times but I wanted to start a thread to share a positive expereince I recently had with a fellow CP'er. And no it was not an expansion exercise with Jhunts girlfriend, although that would be a great story. Anyways feel free to share your experience as I am sure there are plenty of them. Whether you choose to use the users name or not is your call, in my case I am going to refrain until he approves.

A few days ago I responded to an ad in regards to a pair of Flames tickets, they were listed as free and the only comment was to send a message. I bite and sent a quick blurb about wanting to take my 7 year old son with me as we don't get to many games and he is a huge fan. A quick reply was sent saying they were all mine and we arranged to meet today so I could pick up the tickets.

Much to my suprise upon returning home I realized I recieved 3 sets of tickets along with 4 free Hitmen tickets. Thinking it must be a mistake I text the fellow CP'er to arrange a time to return the other tickets. He responds "enjoy the games with your son"! Turns out it was intentional...

An awesome act of generosity from one CP'er to another. Thank you, you know who you are. Thank you!!

Wow, that's very cool. I like how he remains nameless. Is that the way he wanted it?

I will point him here, and if he wants I will be more than happy to name him. However I suspect this is exactly how he would want it.

CP Helped me Raise over $900 for the Canadian Brain Tumor Foundation last Spring after a close friend passed away.

Thanks again to everyone who donated...

P.S. several of you still need to claim your prizes.

missdpuck (who I have never met before) sent me some gift cards and a beautiful card when my dad was sick with cancer in 2008 to show support. I smiled when I saw the card.

Beyond that, my inbox was flooded with messages to the point where it was 100% full (it is still 99% full because I didn't have the heart to delete most of them), from hundreds of CPers showing their support/condolences, etc. Way too many to name (literally hundreds).

Those 9 months (April 2008-January 2009) were the ones I was proudest to be a member on this forum.

So many great people.

Many of you encouraged me a number of years ago when I was going through a rough time, both on the thread and via pm...

Recieved many free tickets throughout the years.

Rathji and Ken0042 have helped me obtain much computer equipment and windows licences, which I have put together for needy families.

The endless deals on jerseys that annoys Annasuave, but for me, is great.

Many others that I cant remember at the moment, but will update when I can.

All in all, my favorite online community by far. It never fails me, and never ceases to amaze.

CP provided me with a girlfriend briefly in 2007. She was hot.

It's by far the best work CP has done, and shows what the collective effort of a few can do to change the world.

I missed out on Mayer's dog at the time -that brought a tear to my eye and I don't even have a dog.

A few years back, I moved to BC and had a rough time adjusting to the change and living in Canuck's territory. Several members of CP helped keep me sane during those days. Those kindnesses really helped, and I appreciate them still.

I appreciate the hivemind of CP which will answer just about any question - and usually reserve the obligatory comments about hookers & blow and Fotze's mom to the 3rd or 4th response.

Special shout out to Rathji who buys a lot of the computer stuff that Ricosuave seems to accumulate. And for taking my steamer off my hands. Thanks man! I thought I'd NEVER get rid of that thing. How's it working out for ya?
