New Business Name
So I recently decided to expand the family clothing store this past October. We have been in business for 50 years this May and have changed our product mix due to changes in the town. My grandfather started the business as a strictly men's wear store (suits, shirts, western wear, men's shoes) with my dad adding younger lines such as Guess, Tommy (in their prime) when he took over. I have since added more lifestyle brands such as Fox, Billabong, Orb, Oakley etc.
About 4 years ago when the ladies shoe store closed (owner retired) I took over some of their lines. Now we expanded the store 3300 sq feet in order to carry Ladies clothing (Joseph Ribkoff, Tribal etc).
Now to the main issue I am facing; I cannot think of a good new name for our store. The current name is John's Men's Wear, which obviously isn't the case now that we carry ladies wear. I would like to keep John (as respect for my grandfather and it's well known in the area) in the name but seem to be having a block when it comes to new ideas for names. I thought I would toss the idea out to CP for some new ideas. Heck if something I really like and use comes up I might have a little gift for the poster!

Did your grandfather have a nickname? Or could you do a play on words with your surname or initials?
Mind telling us where you are located?

^ Google says, Stettler.
I'd just say keep it simple and re-name it subtlety to "John's Clothiers". Continues the family tradition, not wild changes, but yet not tied to just men's apparel.
Plus, in a town like that, coming up with some new psuedo-modern name and re-brand may seem a little too "big city sell out" for some....people in town know it for the last 50 years as "John's" and they'll still know it as "John's".
Good luck.

If you wanted to spice things up around the old town, you could just called it John's Sex Clothing store....

As said, we are in Stettler and no nickname that me or my dad ever heard. I thought about doing something with J=John(grandpa) W=Wayne(dad) R=Ryan(me) but was scared that I might the "John's" branding.

I would go with Alberta 178729360 Ltd. If that one is taken, how about Alberta 17983761 Ltd.?

How about John's Outfitters? Simple while still recognizing your stores past.

I agree with everyone who said make a subtle change like John's Apparel or John's Clothiers.
Alternatively, what about adding your Grandma's name? John & _____'s clothing/apparel/etc. Or using the last name instead?

John and Sons Apparel.
............est. 1962
It works, and has a bit of a play on words, and it addresses the stores history.
'Jon3' (But with the 3 looking like the cubed symbol)
Edgy and minimalist, you a the third generation to run the store.
But since you are in a small town why don't you go with the standard small town staple:
'Family Chinese and Western clothing.'
