US ATMs bringing back small bills
Yes! http://money.cnn.com/2013/01/17/pf/a...html?hpt=hp_t3
Quote:
Hundreds of new ATMs capable of dispensing as little as $1 are popping up across the country.
|
Quote:
Chase and PNC have both been launching ATMs that churn out exact change to the dollar, allowing customers to withdraw denominations as low as $1 and $5.
|
I remember going to the Macs in Lakeview when I was at Mt Royal, just because their machine gave out $5s (so I would withdraw $35 to get a 20 and three 5s)

The U of C used to have a machine that gave out small bills, for a struggling student just trying to quickly pay for lunch it was great!
It just depends on what they want to charge for service fees.

Wow, you know their economy is in the toilet when they have to consider machines that dispense in one dollar increments.

Sweet. Getting bills changed before going to the peelers was always such a pain. Make it rain!

The Deja Vu chain of clubs has machines that will change your $20s or hundreds into dollar bills, or, if you're super lazy, it will trigger a machine above the stage that rains dollar bills all over the dancers. It's amazing.

Oh that would be pure gold in Canada. Drop in a 20 and watch the dancer get pelted with loonies.

Seriously? You can get the ATM to dispense bills directly onto the girls? I don't actually go to strippers that much, but would go just ot check out this marvel of ingenuity...that and the boobs.

I'd prefer they actually brought debit down there. Frustrating to travel to the US and not be able to use a debit card.

But then I would not get the satisfaction of earning my key ring or fridge magnet through hard work and good aim.

Hooray for credit cards!

There are interac cards that will act as a visa if a retailer doesn't take debit.

They have debit, but it is run through Visa or Mastercard instead of Interac. Interac will not be showing up in the states.

My face is a bum!

I remember the days of throwing $2 in change into a deposit envelope (no coins my ass!) just so I could take out a $20.

I remember asking for change for a fifty at the peelers before leaving and all they could give me was two rolls of loonies. I don't remember why but I needed to do it so I was walking around with two stupid rolls in my pocket that night.

I remember the braeside shoppers had an ATM that dispensed 5 dollar bills. That was great as a young teenager since the one at the 7eleven would only give out 20s.
