Amber Alert - Now off, girl found

Police have issued an Amber Alert for a pregnant 14-year-old in Saskatchewan.
Katelyn Mosquito of Maple Creek, Sask., is about eight months pregnant, and police believe she was abducted by Jonathan Hansen, 16, also from the Maple Creek area.
Mosquito was last seen Wednesday evening.
She is described as aboriginal, 5-foot-3 and 160 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be wearing an orange hoodie and pyjama-type pants.
Hansen is white, about 5-foot-11 and 150 lbs., with light brown hair and blue-grey eyes. Police said he has "body modification" of both ears.
He may be driving a green 1995 Ford Escort with Saskatchewan licence plate 637 HEE.
Police did not specify what, if any, relationship Mosquito has to Hansen

Hopefully mosquito is found soon. Abducting a 14 year old at 16 seems bizarre. I can see this being resolved quickly.

I don't see this as an abduction, I wouldn't be surpised if he is the "dad". However, because she is a minor the Amber Alert can be utilized.

But won't this diminish the value the Amber Alert system?

When I think Amber Alert I think a child who has been abducted. In this case it almost sounds like a pregnant girl who has run away with her boyfriend. That is a very different scenario and doesn't seem to fit with what I picture the intent of the Amber Alert system.

Apparently he took her forcefully as well, so an Amber Alert seems practical if that's the case.
