Only did this because having 53 OV players on the 4th line wasnt sitting well with me. I prob shouldnt have given up the 4th and 5th rounders but lets be honest..... Im American, I dont know how to draft anyway. Kyle Wilson was just thrown in for cap so good deal for Flames and not a horrid deal for me.

It took a while, but the Devils are happy to grab two solid players to upgrade their roster without having to give up anything signifigant off of the roster. We gave up some solid youth, but have a boatload of prospects and picks in the pipeline that made Blum, Tatar and the others expendable.
Thanks for the talks!

Sens are happy to get another top line forward. With Alfie, one of Brown, Hejduk, Whitney or possibly Alfie will get placed on the 3rd line. Sens still have a first round pick and other prospects to use as trade bait as the season goes on. Thanks to the stinky cheese for the trade!

Cheese with a picks and prospects only deal? when was the last time this happened?
I like Collberg more then DSP straight up and pitt seems to get a couple good picks with him, so I like the deal a lot more for Pitt.

I'll have to disagree, probably a lot closer of a deal then some people think. DSP is a lot closer to making the NHL, some could argue he would be in the NHL if not for a lock out. Collberg is still a few years away from the NHL and hasn't had a great start to his season in Europe. When he comes to NA he'll have to get used to the smaller ice surfaces and probably play a year in the AHL before playing in the NHL, if at all.
The deal would probably be a lot more fair if it was one 2nd rounder and not two but it's still a solid deal.

DSP is certainly closer to the NHL but i think he tops out as an average 3rd liner. Collberg has legit top 6 upside I think but you have to wait longer to find out.

I like DSPs game. In the next 4 years he will be ahead of Collberg. Thats enough for me at this time.

After a few days of haggling back and forth the Blues and Flames struck a deal tonight. (Thanks RT for bearing with my bad mathematics)
Great back and forths in this deal...it swung in different directions a few times before we settled on the following:
To Calgary
1. Elias, Patrick (C) NHL
2. Crombeen, Brandon (LW) NHL
3. Comeau, Blake (RW) NHL
4. Bartulis, Oskars (D) AHL
5. 2013 4th Round Draft Choice (chi)
Money: St. Louis Blues sends Calgary Flames $6,330,000
To St Louis
1. Clarkson, David (RW) NHL
2. Teubert, Colten (D) NHL
3. Tatar, Tomas (C) AHL
4. Horak, Roman (LW) NHL
6. 2014 2nd Round Draft Choice (buf)

Well I don't know why it says 2nd (Buf) there as it should be the Cgy 3rd in 2013 and Cgy 2nd in 2014.
Anyways, injected a LOT of youth in one deal and while I'm not a huge fan of any single piece I get, there is some very good potential in there and both Tatar and Horak are having amazing AHL seasons thus far so hopefully they continue.
Thanks to Cheese for another deal and hope Elias works out for him!
