What are your favourite spots in Calgary?
Where are your favourite spots in Calgary? I'm talking about actual spots rather than say, the Zoo as a whole.
A couple of mine...
The bench in front of the Buddha statue at the Glenbow. I'm not religious, but I find sitting there with my eyes closed for a minute or too to be a nice peaceful, spiritual experience.
The benches overlooking the community of Roxboro behind St. Mary's Cemetery. I like local history, so I like visiting the cemetery now and then anyway, but I also like sitting on one of the benches on the hill and dreaming that I owned a place in that community.
What are yours?

The bench at Earl Grey Crescent and Hillcrest Ave is nice. Hopefully the city never lets that ####### next door by that piece of land.

There's a spot in SW Fish Creek spot that's off the trail a bit, I love going their with my son and just hanging out, eating a sandwich, throwing rocks into the creek, splashing around a bit. Relaxing

The graffiti staircase at ACAD. The psycho's they let into that school. Cool and terrifying. Also the big staircase at the Glenbow that has or had the giant plumbobamadoo. I remember it when I was a kid and a teacher told me it spun in circles because the Earth is moving. I guess it's various staircases around town for me.

Central Memorial Park (1221 2 St SW)
It's the oldest park in the City, well kept with nice water fountains and lighting.

Was it? That makes sense. But it looks like the big staircase at the Glenbow. Gonna have to rethink my childhood.

That's the Louise Bridge in the background, so it has to be near the corner of 10th St and Memorial Drive. I'd guess it's the top floor of that apartment building beside Julio's Barrio.

That's what I figured. Couldn't make out out whether it was some awesome new patio reno at Julio's or whether it was the apartment building you're talking about as I didn't think the difference in height between the two was that different and would have assumed you'd catch a view of the top of Julio's from that angle.
