Northern Ireland police say three officers have been injured in a fifth straight night of street clashes with Protestant extremists opposed to Belfast city council's decision to reduce its flying of the British flag.

I don't think this place will ever find peace. I met and drank with some of the RUC rugby boys many years ago during the World Fire/Police games.

These boys where hard core and had no time for Catholics.

Sad place really.

I booked my hotel for Belfast and then saw this news right after and thought "Crap, if I waited prices would have been lower!"

Belfast looks like a fascinating place. There are over 20km of walls dividing neighborhoods in the city.
