CalgaryPuck poster of the year award (2012)
The end of the year is coming up this Monday so now would be a good time to discuss the people/posters on this forum that help to create CP as being best place on the net to discuss hockey and other interests.
The Craig Conroy Award for Poster Of The Year
The Doug Risebrough Slashing Marty McSorleys Sweater Viscous ####### Award for the poster most likely to launch a personal attack at the drop of a hat.
The Rain Man Award to the poster who seems to know something but no one else is sure what it might be.
The Rod Serling Twight Zone Award to the poster most likely to blame the deficiencies of a Flames player on management, teammates, coaches or anything other than the player.
The Put A Bag On My Head Award for the Flames fan most ashamed to be associated with the team.
The Vesa Vitikoski Fearless Female Award to the best poster from the fairer sex.
The Haken Loob Award to the best foreign poster.
The Eric Francis Award to the poster most likely to stick his nose into an argument they have no chance of winning.
The Jim Peplinski Award to the poster most likely to deliver a funny quip when it's needed.
The Roger Neilsen Award to the best poster from an enemy team.
The Flames Homer Award goes to the poster most likely to support the Flames in spite of all evidence to the contrary.
The Brent Sutter award to best thread of the year.
Have at it and let see what everyone thinks

A couple of posters here come to mind for me.
First one is "Machiavelli". She always posts good insights on the Flames and the players on the roster. I don't always agree with her views but at the same have great respect for how she draws her conclusions.
The other poster is "wittynickname". During the presidential elction and leading up to it, I always looked forward to her personal views and insights of how the parties affect her and those around her. Being a Candian i wanted to know how the policies of each party would affect citizens of the USA
Lastly there is "Photon" and especialy "Textcritic" for thier views on religious matters I've learned alot from both of them.

CapnCrunch for the military knowledge, edginess, hilarity and most important his unexpected vulnerability make his posts a treat
Dion seems to be genuinely nice while insightful.
Usually Machiaveli is my favorite poster, though maybe for lack of hockey I haven't seen as much of her
I enjoy the trolling Mikey gives me, but it's getting too obvious.

Dion, for always sending me new signatures to use on CP...and convincing my wife and I to get our son a Flames jersey this year, even though it goes against all I am standing for against the lockout (ie: not purchasing merchandise, etc). I will post a pic of the little guy in it, once the lockout is over.
Anyone and everyone that has posted in the 'CBA News Only' thread with tweets on the lockout. Thanks for keeping me up to date on all the Twitter chatter.
There's lots more, but it's too hard to choose!

Seems like a discussion that warrants some categories.

I third the PMM nomination. He has been doing an amazing job keeping the Back Burner thread filled with great info on our prospects and what's going on in Abbotsford. It's that sort of content that keeps this site such an amazing resource for flames info.

Iowa_Flames_Fan wins best politics contributor for me, for what that's worth. Not sure how I'd be able to pick best contributor for the full year, but categories would be good.
