Do I Tip a Courtesy Shuttle Driver?
The 'quick question' thread is locked so a new thread it is. I'm getting picked up downtown by a courtesy shuttle this afternoon to get my car at T&T Honda, and I'm not sure about tipping ettiquete.

I never have. Never even occurred to me, but I have never heard or seen someone tip a dealership shuttle.

I work at a car dealership, and if the shuttle driver got a tip, he wouldn't stop talking about it for a month it would be so unusual.
So no, you do not have to tip. But that being said, tis the season, why not put a smile on the guys face. Shuttle drivers don't make much.

I'd say only give him a tip if he offers you 4 to 5 gallons of ranch sauce, if he offers less he is pretty much farting in your general direction......

Wait, that is exactly what I want. Hopefully typing in Springs1 name into this thread activates the Springs1 bat-signal, and she shares her opinion on this particular topic with us.
I bet she drives a Neon.

It's even nicer to do when it's uncommon.

Kiss him on the cheek as you're getting off the bus. That will go well.

I tried to hand him $10, but he graciously declined, and wished me a nice holiday season. Very nice man.

$10? Maybe he thought you were angling for more than just a ride.

I've never tipped one before and while it might be a nice gesture, I doubt they would expect it.
An oily handjob might liven his day up though.
