Towncar services in Calgary?

Hello,

I'm hoping the CP braintrust can provide some recommendations. I will be providing a towncar service as part of a Christmas gift (4-5 hours one evening in January) and I can't find many reviews or recommendations online for Calgary. Any recommendations, or companies to avoid?

Allied seems alright, they are apart of Associated Cabs. I tried calling Cascade Limo, no answer...

When I used to DJ a lot of weddings and parties, I would recommend A-Class Limo.

I never heard any complaints from people that used them.

I use Allied semi-frequently during the summer months (and off/on for the last 4 or 5 years). Never had an issue with them. Always on time or early, don't have a problem taking my preferred routes. Most of the drivers are really friendly and easy to talk to if you're into that sort of thing.

I've used allied for the last few years for Xmas parties, airport trips etc...

Always worked well for me.

A big step above a cab and they are there when you book them.

If you are pre-paying, remember that they add 15% automatically for a tip.

Its a separate line item on the invoice they will mail you.

has http://www.uber.com made it to Calgary yet? used it in Toronto and was fantastic.

I was told a while back that you should tip your driver in advance. Like when they pick you up. Then you'll get a little extra special treatment (not watching the clock, the nicer scenic drives, look the other way when you bring alcohol in the limo, etc.)
