Only a matter of time it seems that we are paying for all online local news it seems.

A metered pay-per-view system for local news? If this was April 1st I would swear it was an April Fool's joke. You got to be kidding me! Good luck with that.

Why would anyone pay for the Sun? I only read it sometimes when I get my coffee at Timmy's and McD.

Much better news sources that are free and will remain free like the BBC. Thank you British taxpayers

If it is like the Globe and Mail paywall only suckers who can't figure out how to delete their cookies will pay.

I get the Sun free with an iPad news subscription and I'll occasionally read his column just to marvel at his masterful command of irrelevance and the mighty non sequitur. "City council wastes money! Bargle bargle bargle! Here's some random facts about spending with no context! Bargle bargle bargle!"

Well, I mean the Sun's political ideology is a good 20-30 years behind the times, so might as well match their technological ideology.

$6 per month for the privilege of reading at a fourth grade level?

I bet most of you still pay for your 2 minutes of Eric Francis hate.

I never got the purpose of a sunshine girl on the website - it isn't as though the internet is known for it's dearth of moderately attractive females in tight clothing. Oh what's that - they are cheering on local sports team and favourite player to victory?
