I have to admit that I didn't even realize that Arc’teryx was a Canadian company (based in North Vancouver, BC) until I read this article.
They are a large part of a group which includes the VPD and volunteers who use the leftover materials from their jacket manufacturing to make windproof, waterproof, insulated capes that are handed out to the homeless. Their employees also train the volunteers on how to sew the capes.
This is the fourth year for the project and they've handed out about a thousand of these already. I have no interest with anyone involved; just wanted to bring awareness, and a pat on the back, for what I think is a great project by a Canadian company. Nice to see.
